Re: Supreme Pilates
Wed, March 8, 2006 - 9:43 PMI just saw the infomercial and I wasn't impressed. I think for home workouts you are better off doing matwork, and even adding a magic circle or small weights to mix it up. The only reformers worth working out on are the real ones (www.gratz-pilates.com), not ones that collapse and are made of plastic. If you really want to work out on a reformer, I suggest going to a studio and signing up for reformer classes or semi-privates if privates are too costly.
Not to mention, proper form is very important when using apparatus and must be done under the supervision of an instructor. Otherwise injuries can occur and bad habits can be reinforced. I would not recommend using a reformer at home if the person has not gone through the proper studio training. There really is no fast "at home" track to Pilates. It's expensive and it takes time, but it's worth is for the results.
Hope this was helpful! -

Thu, January 17, 2008 - 7:21 PMHello Sally,
yes i have this product. I like it! It is made of a study metal frame not plastic. It also came with a number of different DVD workouts. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Re: Supreme Pilates
Tue, May 27, 2008 - 4:36 PMThe Supreme Pilates machines provide an incredible full body workout and stretching! The equipment is easy to use and sturdy and Ellen guides you in a fun, easy to follow way to ensure proper form and alignment. Supreme Pilates is a small, collapsible version of the Pilates Cadillac and provides a completely different workout from the reformer. The equipment is currently not available for sale in the US, but if you would like more info, I would refer you to Ellen's website at www.ellencroft.com to contact her directly. Check out online testimonials as well for more feedback, people love love love this equipment! -

Re: Supreme Pilates
Wed, May 28, 2008 - 7:50 PMI've never used the gratz pilates equiptment! I didn't know! it looks really nice!
I've used stott and I dont' like it.
I've used balanced body and like it very much. www.pilates.com/BBAPP/V/home.html
I have an IQ at home and its really impressive. www.pilates.com/BBAPP/V/eq...former.html
i haven't used ellen's stuff but here's what i like about how it looks:
for those of us who cannot afford the exorbitant prices of pilates machines
for those of us who don't have the space for a whole reformer or even an IQ at home
AND for those of us who DO have good pilates training to get the most out of a piece of equipment like ellen crofts
it looks totally interesting. it looks like a good idea!
I am on the verge of building myself a springboard for home. this would be a good cheap route to get some of the benefits of pilates equipment without the fuss.
